Documents Required for Conducting the Citizenship Review Process:

a) Birth certificate from the place of birth (not older than six months) - original or certified copy;

b) Certificate of citizenship of the country of which the person is a citizen by birth/origin (not older than six months) - original or certified copy;

c) Birth certificate from the municipality in Bosnia and Herzegovina where the subsequent registration in the Birth Register was performed (not older than six months) - original or certified copy;

d) Certificate of movement - registered residence/stay in Bosnia and Herzegovina, issued by the competent authority, if the person is found in these records (not older than six months) - original or certified copy;

e) Valid identification document of Bosnia and Herzegovina or another country of which the person is a citizen - certified copy;

f) Extract/certificate of data from the criminal record maintained by the competent authority according to the place of birth (not older than three months) - original or certified copy;

g) Extract/certificate of data from the criminal record maintained by the competent authority (Ministry of Internal Affairs) according to the place of subsequent registration in the Birth Register in Bosnia and Herzegovina (not older than three months) - original or certified copy. If subsequent registration of the person in the Birth Register in Bosnia and Herzegovina has not been performed, the person is obliged to submit a statement that they have not been convicted by a court in Bosnia and Herzegovina for a criminal offense, certified by the competent authority, or if convicted, they must submit a statement for which criminal offense they were convicted and by which court in Bosnia and Herzegovina, certified by the competent authority;

h) Other proof demonstrating a real connection with Bosnia and Herzegovina (e.g., proof of marriage to a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina, certificate of citizenship of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the spouse and children, certificate of movement or registered residence/stay in Bosnia and Herzegovina for the spouse and children, proof of employment in Bosnia and Herzegovina, proof that children attend school in Bosnia and Herzegovina, land registry extract as proof of ownership of real estate in Bosnia and Herzegovina, real estate purchase contract in Bosnia and Herzegovina, etc.).

Documents issued abroad must be duly certified for use in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a translation by an authorized court interpreter in Bosnia and Herzegovina, certified by the competent court in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
