Today, in the premises of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo, the team that will represent Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Olympic Games in Paris was presented.

Bosnia and Herzegovina will be represented by five athletes in athletics, judo, and swimming.

Among the Bosnian Olympic athletes are: Lana Pudar - One of the most successful swimmers from Bosnia and Herzegovina, a member of the Orka Water Sports Club from Mostar, who will compete in the 100m and 200m Butterfly swimming events.

Jovan Lekić - A swimmer from the Borac Swimming Club in Banja Luka, who will compete in the 400m Freestyle swimming event.

Aleksandra Samardžić - A member of the City Centre Sarajevo Judo Club, who will compete in the judo -70 kg category. Larisa Cerić - Bosnia and Herzegovina's most successful judoka, a member of the Nippon Judo Club from Sarajevo, who will compete in the judo +78 kg category.

Mensud Pezer - Bosnia and Herzegovina's best shot putter, a member of the Zenica Athletic Club, who will compete in the shot put event.

At the presentation of the Bosnian Olympic team, the Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dubravka Bošnjak, congratulated the athletes achieving the Olympic standard and qualifying for the Olympic Games. Bošnjak emphasized that Bosnian Olympians may not have had the same training conditions as their competitors, but this did not prevent them from qualifying.

"Your dedication, passion, and will know no bounds. Despite the challenges, you have managed to earn a place among the best, and that is already a great victory. Paris is just another opportunity to show the world everything you have been working on diligently for years," said Bošnjak.

Bošnjak also highlighted her belief that these young people will represent Bosnia and Herzegovina in the best light - with dignity and full hearts - as they have done so far.

"Your outstanding results and successes on the international stage obligate us to continue working on improving conditions for athletes and providing you with better support in the future. Together, as part of the same team, we will strive to enhance sports and sporting opportunities in Bosnia and Herzegovina," emphasized Bošnjak.

As a gesture of appreciation, the sports equipment of the Olympic team of Bosnia and Herzegovina was handed over to Minister Bošnjak by judoka Larisa Cerić.

At the ceremony presenting the Bosnian Olympic team, speeches were given by Izet Rađo, President of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dragan Mijoković, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sanja Vlaisavljević, Federal Minister of Culture and Sports, and François Delmas, Ambassador of France to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

A total of 34 sports complexes in France are ready to host the Summer Olympic Games, which will be held in Paris from 26 July to 11 August. About 10,500 athletes from 204 countries will compete for Olympic medals. There will be 329 sporting events in 32 Olympic sports.
