Minister Bošnjak discussed Bosnia and Herzegovina's path to the EU with Ambassador Johann Sattler

In Sarajevo, Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dubravka Bošnjak, met with Ambassador Johann Sattler, Head of the European Union Delegation to Bosnia and Herzegovina and EU Special Representative. The main topic of the meeting was Bosnia and Herzegovina's path towards the European Union, particularly the progress made in meeting the membership criteria.

The latest Progress Report noted a significant reform progress made by the country over the past year. It was assessed that there is a need to focus on implementing Bosnia and Herzegovina's key priorities.

Discussions also covered aligning Bosnia and Herzegovina's legislation with EU law (acquis).

Minister Bošnjak stated that the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the consent of relevant healthcare institutions in BiH, is finalizing the accession procedure for Bosnia and Herzegovina to the new EU Health Action Program (EU4Health). The Minister emphasized that the necessary approvals within Bosnia and Herzegovina have been secured for signing the accession agreement to EU4Health. Official signing of the agreement is expected soon.

The Minister also highlighted exceptional cooperation with the EU in education, science, culture, labour, and employment, noting numerous projects in these areas funded by EU funds.

Ambassador Sattler expressed support for Bosnia and Herzegovina's European path and underscored the importance of continuing reforms and aligning with European standards.
