Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dubravka Bošnjak, held separate meetings in Banja Luka to discuss current issues in the field of health with the Minister of Health and Social Welfare of Republika Srpska, Alen Šeranić, and with the Director of the Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nataša Grubeša.

The Director of the Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nataša Grubeša, briefed the minister on the current activities of the agency, the challenges they are facing, and their plans for the future. There was particular emphasis on the need to amend legislation to improve the safety and efficiency of medicines distribution and usage.

During the meeting with the Minister of Health and Social Welfare of Republika Srpska, Alen Šeranić, discussions were held on Eurotransplant as well as other joint projects in the field of health.

The importance of open dialogue on issues such as the legalization of cannabis was highlighted, emphasizing the need to ensure a legal framework that will enable safe and effective use of cannabis for medical purposes.

Minister Bošnjak expressed the readiness of the Ministry of Civil Affairs, within its competencies, to support all initiatives that will contribute to the improvement of the healthcare system in Bosnia and Herzegovina. She reiterated the importance of cooperation and coordination among all levels of government and relevant institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina to ensure the provision of the best possible healthcare to all citizens.
