A meeting was held in Sarajevo between Dubravka Bošnjak, Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Thomas Fitschen, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Bosnia and Herzegovina. Accompanying Ambassador Fitschen was Colonel Franz-Josef Nolte, Military Attaché of the Federal Republic of Germany in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The main topic of discussion was the demining process in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Minister Bošnjak thanked Ambassador Fitschen and Colonel Nolte for Germany's extensive support in the demining process over the past 20 years, as well as for their assistance in aiding and rehabilitating landmine victims.

Minister Bošnjak discussed with Ambassador Fitschen the activities that Bosnia and Herzegovina has undertaken so far in the demining process. She emphasized that the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina has formed a Working Group tasked with drafting a Demining Law aimed at enhancing this process in the country.

Bošnjak highlighted the importance of cooperation with donors to secure additional funding for demining. The goal is for Bosnia and Herzegovina to become mine-free as soon as possible, clearing the remnants of explosive devices from the past war.
