Procedure for conducting a review of decisions on naturalization of foreign citizens naturalized between 1992 and 2006

Documents that must be submitted for conducting the citizenship review procedure:

a) Birth certificate from the place of birth (not older than six months) - original or certified photocopy;

b) Certificate of citizenship of the country of which the person is a citizen by birth/origin (not older than six months) - original or certified photocopy;

c) Birth certificate from the municipality where the subsequent registration in the Birth Register was made in Bosnia and Herzegovina (not older than six months) - original or certified photocopy;

d) Certificate of movement - registered residence/residence in Bosnia and Herzegovina, issued by the competent authority, if the person is in the mentioned records (not older than six months) - original or certified photocopy;

e) Valid identification document of Bosnia and Herzegovina or another country of which the person is a citizen - certified photocopy;

f) Extract/certificate of information from the criminal records kept by the competent authority according to the place of birth (not older than three months) - original or certified photocopy;

g) Extract/certificate of data from the criminal records kept by the competent authority (Ministry of the Interior) according to the place of subsequent registration in the register of births in Bosnia and Herzegovina (not older than three months) - original or certified photocopy. If the person has not been subsequently registered in the birth register in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the person must submit a statement that he has not been convicted by a court in Bosnia and Herzegovina for a criminal offense, certified by the competent authority, or if he has been convicted, he must submit a statement for which criminal offense he was convicted and by which court in Bosnia and Herzegovina, certified by the competent authority;

h) Other evidence proving the existence of a real connection with Bosnia and Herzegovina (e.g. proof of marriage with a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina, certificate of citizenship of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the spouse and children, certificate of movement or registered residence/residence in Bosnia and Herzegovina for the spouse and children, proof of employment in Bosnia and Herzegovina, proof that children attend school in Bosnia and Herzegovina, land registry extract as proof of ownership of real estate in Bosnia and Herzegovina, contract for the purchase and sale of real estate in Bosnia and Herzegovina, etc.).

Documents issued abroad must be certified for use in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a translation by an authorized court interpreter in Bosnia and Herzegovina, certified by the competent court in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
