Meeting between Minister Bošnjak and Rector Zaimović: Focus on Higher Education and Research

The Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dubravka Bošnjak, met with the Rector of the University of Sarajevo, Prof. Dr. Tarik Zaimović, to discuss current issues in the fields of science, higher education, research, and international cooperation.

During the conversation, the importance of continuous support for the development of higher education in Bosnia and Herzegovina was emphasized. Minister Bošnjak highlighted that the Ministry of Civil Affairs supports all activities aimed at creating conditions for strengthening scientific research work and enhancing international cooperation of domestic higher education institutions.

Rector Zaimović presented the priorities of the University of Sarajevo, with a special focus on strengthening academic mobility and improving research capacities. The discussion also covered the challenges faced by universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, including improving conditions for young researchers and increasing competitiveness at the international level.

It was concluded that the Ministry of Civil Affairs and the University of Sarajevo will continue their collaboration with the goal of improving the quality of higher education and scientific research in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
