Workshop on Child Protection – UNICEF

On 28–29 October 2025, UNICEF organised a workshop on administrative data in the field of child protection on Jahorina.
The workshop was part of a broader process implemented by UNICEF with the aim of strengthening responses to issues such as violence against children, justice for children and deinstitutionalisation, as well as enhancing institutional capacities for data collection and use to support evidence-based decision-making.

During the workshop, participants discussed experiences and challenges in collecting data on children, focusing on the development of appropriate methodologies and the standardisation of procedures for the protection and security of children’s data.

In addition to competent institutions responsible for child protection, the workshop was attended by a representative of the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina – Sector for Labour, Employment, Social Protection and Pensions.

The Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina remains committed to continued cooperation with UNICEF, with the goal of improving the position of children and jointly building a better and fairer future for every child.
