Meeting held with the President of the “Science and World” Association

At the premises of the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Assistant Minister for Health Jurica Arapović held a meeting with Jelena Kalinić, President of the Association “Society for the Promotion of Natural Sciences – Science and World”, with the aim of exchanging information on possibilities for cooperation in the fields of immunization, public health, and preventive activities based on scientific evidence (evidence-based medicine).

During the meeting, discussions focused on the association’s activities related to the promotion of medical and health literacy, combating misinformation in the field of healthcare, and strengthening trust in immunization through the vakcine.ba portal and other communication channels.

The opportunities provided by the EU4Health Programme were also presented, including its priorities, available funding mechanisms, and potential ways for organizations from Bosnia and Herzegovina to participate in projects aimed at strengthening preventive medicine and public health.

The interlocutors emphasized the importance of cooperation between institutions and civil society organizations in order to improve evidence-based health policies, strengthen preventive programmes, and enhance the protection of public health in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of access to reliable medical information as a basis for making informed health decisions and creating effective health policies.
