03/20/2025
The Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dubravka Bošnjak, hosted the Director of the PRONI Centre for Youth Development, Jasmin Jašarević, and the Assistant Coordinator for Political and Civil Affairs of the Brčko District of BiH at the BiH Council of Ministers, Sanja Alatović.
During the meeting, Director Jašarević informed Minister Bošnjak about the significant work and mission of this non-governmental organization, which plays a vital role in supporting youth, education, and efforts to build peace in the post-war years.
As highlighted, PRONI is the only affiliated organization from Bosnia and Herzegovina for three leading European youth mobility programs: Erasmus+, the European Solidarity Corps, and the European Youth Card (EYC).
Since 2019, this organization has been the only authorized and licensed representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina for the European Youth Card project, recognized by the Council of Europe. This card provides over 70,000 discounts in 37 European countries.
Minister Bošnjak expressed gratitude to PRONI for its significant contribution to the support and development of youth in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
She also reminded of the ongoing efforts of the Ministry of Civil Affairs to improve the mobility of students and teaching staff, emphasizing that Bosnia and Herzegovina has achieved exceptional success in this area, ranking second among the four Western Balkan economies (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro) with nearly 20,000 mobilities for the 2022-2023 period.
She reiterated the full support of the Ministry of Civil Affairs to the PRONI mission and confirmed that the Ministry will continue to closely cooperate with this and other organizations to improve conditions for youth across the country.
