Minister Bošnjak with representatives of the Government of West Herzegovina County on the successful use of EU Funds

Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dubravka Bošnjak, met with the Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of West Herzegovina County (ŽZH), Daniela Perić, and the Director of the Office for European Integration of the ŽZH Government, Ivan Jurilj.

They discussed strengthening the involvement of local institutions, educational, cultural, and other institutions, and companies in initiatives funded by the European Union through pre-accession, cross-border, and other programs and funds.

Director Jurilj emphasized the growing interest in the West Herzegovina County for the opportunities offered by the EU and pointed out that this county has successfully secured over five million euros in funding from European funds for multi-year projects.

Minister Bošnjak presented EU programs implemented through the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH. She highlighted that such examples of partnerships and active engagement in EU-funded initiatives are key for sustainable economic development, strengthening competitiveness, as well as preserving cultural heritage and enhancing tourism potential.

The interlocutors expressed their mutual commitment to further strengthening cooperation between county and state institutions in successfully utilizing the opportunities that the EU offers to promote social, cultural, and economic progress in the country.
