Today, the Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dubravka Bošnjak, met in Sarajevo with Đuro Topić, the Prime Minister of Posavina Canton. They discussed common priorities and projects in the areas of culture, education, science, healthcare, and demining. Both sides expressed their readiness to strengthen cooperation, particularly in programmes focused on preserving cultural heritage and developing educational initiatives, which were seen as extremely important for strengthening the local community.

In addition to culture and education, the discussion also covered the state of healthcare in the Canton and efforts to reduce mine-contaminated areas, which Posavina Canton still suffers from. Topić emphasized that rural development support, through better management of natural resources, agriculture, and environmental protection, is vital for the development of Posavina Canton, and in this regard, demining is a prerequisite.

A special focus was placed on strengthening local infrastructure, modernizing the education system, and improving social care.

Minister Bošnjak stated that this meeting demonstrated the importance of cooperation and coordination to address challenges and create new opportunities, highlighting that this is an area where the Ministry is investing considerable efforts.
