Minister Bošnjak and Ervin Koreman: Strengthening Cooperation with the World Health Organization

The Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dubravka Bošnjak, held a constructive meeting today with the head of the office of the World Health Organization (WHO) for  Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ervin Koreman. The topic of the meeting was the further strengthening of cooperation between the Ministry of Civil Affairs and the WHO, with a special focus on joint efforts to improve public health in the country.

During the meeting, Minister Bošnjak emphasized the importance of WHO support in key health reforms, including the enhancement of the primary healthcare system, the fight against communicable and non-communicable diseases, as well as initiatives aimed at strengthening mental health and promoting healthy lifestyles. She particularly highlighted the activities the Ministry is undertaking to join Eurotransplant and informed her counterpart about the steps taken so far.

Ervin Koreman announced the upcoming Regional Meeting of the WHO for Europe, where representatives of member states and partners from the European WHO region will discuss current topics and health challenges. He expressed satisfaction with the existing cooperation with the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina and emphasized that the WHO will continue to provide technical support and expertise to help Bosnia and Herzegovina improve its health policies and align them with European and global standards.

Minister Bošnjak and Ervin Koreman agreed that through joint efforts, they can achieve significant results in improving the health and well-being of the residents of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and they expressed readiness to continue their intensive cooperation in the upcoming period.
