Minister Bošnjak and Ambassador Møller on the cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Denmark

Dubravka Bošnjak, the Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, welcomed Åge Sandal Møller, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to Bosnia and Herzegovina, on his introductory visit today.
Minister Bošnjak warmly welcomed Ambassador Møller, wishing him success in his future work in Bosnia and Herzegovina. She also expressed hope that Denmark, which will assume the six-month presidency of the European Union starting 1 July of this year, will continue to support Bosnia and Herzegovina in its efforts to move closer to its European future.
Ambassador Møller thanked Minister Bošnjak for her hospitality and shared positive news about the reopening of the Danish Embassy in Sarajevo at the end of February 2025, after nearly 15 years. He described this as a good sign for further strengthening the relationship between Denmark and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
During their conversation, Ambassador Møller confirmed Denmark’s commitment to supporting Bosnia and Herzegovina’s EU integration process, as well as broader efforts in the Western Balkans to meet the necessary conditions for EU membership. Both officials emphasized their mutual interest in deepening cooperation between the two countries in various sectors.
Particular attention was given to aligning Bosnia and Herzegovina's legislation with EU standards and initiatives to further enhance cooperation. At the end of the meeting, Minister Bošnjak once again expressed gratitude to Denmark for its unwavering support of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s EU integration path.
