The Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dubravka Bošnjak, held a meeting with a delegation of the Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO), which is on an official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The delegation included Secretary General Vladimir Obradović, his Deputy Kreshnik Loka, Senior Advisor Feras Kheirallah, and Nikola Kandić, Head of the Local Office in Sarajevo.

During the meeting, discussions focused on the cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and RYCO, as well as possibilities for its further enhancement, with a particular emphasis on involving young people in regional cooperation and reconciliation processes.

Special attention was given to the Superschools programme, which enables the exchange of high school students across the Western Balkans region, with the aim of strengthening mutual understanding, intercultural dialogue, and building lasting connections among young people. It is one of RYCO’s key programmes contributing to reconciliation and cooperation through education and direct interaction among youth.

The meeting also addressed new projects and activities, including the development of the Culture Fund, established to support youth cultural initiatives and strengthen regional cultural cooperation.

The RYCO delegation informed the Minister about priorities for the upcoming period, which will focus on further youth empowerment, improving mobility, and strengthening regional connectivity.

The Minister expressed full support for RYCO’s work, emphasizing the importance of continuous investment in young people.

It was concluded that there is a strong shared interest in further strengthening cooperation, particularly through concrete programmes that provide young people with new knowledge, experiences, and opportunities for connection.
