The Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as the national coordinator of activities within the European Week of Sport, announces that the city of Zenica will host a sports event for children – the 7th Kids Rugby Fest – on May 17, 2025, as part of the European #BeActive initiative.
The festival, organized by Rugby Club Čelik Zenica with the support of the Rugby Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and in cooperation with the Delegation of the European Union to Bosnia and Herzegovina, will gather a large number of children with the aim of promoting sports, team spirit, and healthy lifestyles among children and youth, which aligns with the core objectives of the European Week of Sport.
The European Week of Sport, implemented by the European Commission across the continent, supports all forms of physical activity under the motto #BeActive. Bosnia and Herzegovina is marking this initiative for the ninth consecutive year, and the Ministry of Civil Affairs encourages all local communities, sports clubs, and educational institutions to join the promotion of physical activity by organizing public events accessible to citizens of all ages.
