British Council – “Women in STEM” Programme – Scholarships for Master’s Studies for Women in STEM for the 2026/27 Academic Year

The British Council in Bosnia and Herzegovina has opened a call for applications for the “Women in STEM” programme, which enables talented female scientists to obtain a Master’s degree in the United Kingdom, with the aim of strengthening professional development and achieving global career success.

This year, 15 scholarships are awarded across 10 countries in the wider European region, including Bosnia and Herzegovina, for studies at three prestigious UK universities in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Each individual scholarship amounts to at least £40,000 and covers full tuition fees, monthly living allowances, travel and visa costs, health insurance, as well as support for learning the English language.

The core idea of this scholarship programme is the immediate application of acquired knowledge in Bosnia and Herzegovina; therefore, participants are expected to return to Bosnia and Herzegovina upon completion of their studies. The programme has no age restrictions for interested candidates from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
