The Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dubravka Bošnjak, met with the UNICEF Representative in BiH, Marc Lucet, and his team to discuss joint projects, particularly those aimed at improving the quality of life for children, youth, and marginalized groups.

They also discussed projects within the framework of the IPA aimed at strengthening the social, child protection, and education systems, as well as social centres in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which are being implemented by UNICEF in cooperation with the Ministry. These projects are set to run until May 2027. Minister Bošnjak highlighted the good cooperation in managing the migrant crisis, where UNICEF provides healthcare for mothers, pregnant women, and children in temporary reception centres.

Additionally, Minister Bošnjak expressed her gratitude to UNICEF for the significant support provided to the health authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. She particularly emphasized the contribution to the development and implementation of the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination programme, which represents an important step in the prevention of cervical cancer and the promotion of public health.

The UNICEF Representative in BiH, Marc Lucet, expressed his gratitude to Minister Bošnjak for her openness and the collaboration to date. He confirmed UNICEF's strong commitment to remaining a reliable partner in projects aimed at protecting children and youth in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Both sides expressed the expectation that their partnership will continue to develop through concrete and effective projects that will contribute to improving the quality of life for the most vulnerable members of society, especially children and youth.
