Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dubravka Bošnjak met in Sarajevo with Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Montenegro in Bosnia and Herzegovina Satka Hajdarpašić to discuss current issues of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting was held in a cordial and constructive atmosphere, with a particular focus on enhancing cooperation in the fields of healthcare, science, and culture. The interlocutors emphasized the importance of strengthening regional partnerships and exchanging experiences in the process of European integration and the implementation of shared development priorities.

Special attention was devoted to Montenegro’s chairmanship of the Berlin Process in 2026, during which a Forum dedicated to Cultural and Creative Industries will be organized. It was assessed that this event will provide an important platform for connecting institutions, exchanging best practices, and further strengthening regional cooperation in the field of the creative economy.

As part of the planned activities, particular emphasis will be placed on youth employment, the development of digital skills, and the strengthening of economic potential through cultural tourism, festivals, gastronomy, and other related sectors.

During the meeting, it was highlighted that Bosnia and Herzegovina possesses significant potential in the field of cultural and creative industries. The country participates in the European Union’s Creative Europe programme, while the creative potential of local communities has gained international recognition through the UNESCO Creative Cities Network—Sarajevo as a City of Film, Banja Luka as a City of Music, and Trebinje as a candidate in the field of Gastronomy.

The interlocutors agreed that cultural and creative industries represent an important resource for economic development, the promotion of cultural diversity, and the creation of new employment opportunities, particularly for young people.
