Call for Applications for BAYHOST Scholarships for Summer German Language Courses in Bavaria for 2026

The Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina informs interested students from Bosnia and Herzegovina that the Free State of Bavaria, through the Bavarian University Center for Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe (BAYHOST), offers scholarships for attending summer German language courses at Bavarian higher education institutions in 2026.

The scholarships are intended for students of all academic disciplines with an intermediate level of German language proficiency (at least B1 level), who hold citizenship of one of the countries covered by the programme, including Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Eligibility criteria:

• citizenship of one of the participating countries

• at least two completed full semesters of study at a higher education institution at the time of application (with recorded grades)

• proof of German language proficiency (minimum B1 level)

The scholarship includes tuition fees, accommodation, and meals.

Summer course periods (A1–C1 levels):

• 19 July – 8 August 2026

• 3 August – 29 August 2026

The application deadline is 23 March 2026. Applications must be submitted exclusively online via the StipSys application system.
