Dr. Dubravka Bošnjak, the Minister of Civil Affairs, presented the State Award for Sports of Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2023 to the best Bosnian skier, Elvedina Muzaferija.
Muzaferija achieved great success by securing the second place in the FIS European Cup downhill event in Crans Montana, Switzerland. Additionally, she met the "A" standard for the 2026 Winter Olympics. The best Bosnian skier received 10,000 KM as part of the State Award for Sports, and Elvedina stated that she will continue to proudly represent Bosnia and Herzegovina in the future. The Ministry of Civil Affairs, in cooperation with the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, organized the presentation of the State Award for Sports of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"In addition to the presentation of the State Award for Sports of Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2023, the selection of distinguished and top athletes for 2023 was marked. We had 44 athletes who achieved significant results in international competitions, including 33 top athletes and 11 distinguished athletes. The selection was made by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, based on the proposal of a Commission consisting of representatives from the Ministry of Civil Affairs, entity ministries, and the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina," stated Bošnjak.
